Why we’re different

Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy is more than your regular driving school - we teach students of all ages, and all abilities. Teaching both on and off track, our curriculum will take you from your first lesson on track when you're 10 and 1.5 metres tall, to when you pass your test, to when you're older and want to touch-up your technique. Our team, cars and curriculum combine to ensure that you are a safer, better driver through a truly unique learning experience.

    • As you progress through the Academy, you will gain both driving and personal skills designed to make you an accomplished safe driver - from Silver Level 'beginners' to Black Level 'advanced drivers'.     • Our discussion groups are designed to help you understand that driving and life skills go hand in hand. Self-control and understanding are just as important as control of the vehicle. The focus of these discussion groups is your individual contribution, your views and ideas, rather than traditional instruction. The discussions are in a relaxed, informal setting where you can explore relevant topics like peer pressure, distractions and alcohol with other young people learning to drive.     • In 1886, Karl Benz invented the very first car, the Benz Patent Motorwagen. Mercedes-Benz have continued to innovate and improve since then. Adolf Daimler established one of the first ever driving schools in 1908. Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy has been launched 101 years after Daimler started this initiative to continue his mission - using safer cars, to create safer drivers and safer roads.     • Our excellent team of coaches care about you. All of them are certified approved driving instructors (ADI's), handpicked and trained by the Academy. They use the latest training and evaluation methods and constantly monitor your progress online (launching soon).     • The A-Class is the car that is most predominately used by the Driving Academy. It is one of the safest cars in which to learn to drive. Both Manual and Automatic cars are available.     • There are not many other driving schools that can offer their learners an opportunity to get behind the wheel of a sports car before they've passed their test - but here at the Academy, that's exactly what we do. For continuity, most driving takes place in the A-Class. However, if your ADI feels you're ready, you can get behind the wheel of bigger Mercedes-Benz cars like the B-Class, the C-Class and even the sporty SLK-Class.
