Winter Driving Package
(17+ years, full licence required, track)
Winter weather brings many challenges, not least for drivers who are faced with unpredictable road conditions and risks. The cold, ice and snow are some of the biggest issues for many and is therefore important to be prepared for what lies ahead on the roads.
The Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy has launched a user-friendly course designed to prepare drivers of all capabilities for winter conditions. This is part of an initiative to increase road safety by equipping drivers with the skills that are needed in order to consider and react to the dangers on the road. Such preparations could also save money on repair bills and insurance premiums should anything happen that could have be avoided.
With the purpose built handling circuits and driving facilities at Mercedes-Benz World, we can offer drivers the ability to prepare for ice and snow. We have low friction, wet grip surfaces that simulate the conditions drivers need to develop the skills to drive in icy conditions.
The winter driving course is tailored to each individual driver. This means the course can develop specific skills to help drivers overcome fears from previous experiences on the roads, or cover a broad range of skills for drivers to be prepared in the future.
What you’ll learn:
- Pulling away & cornering on icy roads.
- Hypothetical risks of incoming traffic.
- What to consider before starting your journey.
- Spotting and managing risk in snowy and icy conditions.
The Winter Driving Course is available now for £100.
