For all your preparation, your first year of driving will still be a bit like walking a tightrope on a windy day, with constant distractions and surprises. Each day on the tightrope gets a bit steadier and the surprises become less frequent, but you still have to work hard to be prepared for them.
You carefully develop your control, precision, judgement, calmness, anticipation, instinct, alertness, self-discipline and self-knowledge. You work through the Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy curriculum colours to reach the top level. But this is still only the point where you have mastered the basic techniques and principles and are ready to really start to learn.
With the Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy we set out to give you the best possible experience as you learn to drive, and the best possible preparation for the road ahead.
The Academy’s curriculum covers 190 defined skills, as well as eco-driving, advanced driving skills that reduce risks, and simulated emergency situations on handling circuits that can’t be replicated on public roads - for example slippery surfaces and black ice. We also run discussion groups for our learners.
